I'll go first. My little Olive, she is a personality all to herself. I can honestly say, I have never met another dog with this much......everything. She is smart, silly, caring, loyal, you name it, she's got it. The other day all the other younger dogs were outside playing, but she decided to stay in the living room, guess she had a game plan. I have an OLD Rottweiller, who was sound asleep on the living room floor. This apparently was not good for Olive. She first went to TJ and gave her kisses in the ears, then she pushed at her jowls, then she started tugging on her legs. Olive weighs 15lbs, TJ is about 100lbs, maybe more. The old girl acted as if she was uneffected for about 5 minutes and then realized Little Olive was not going to leave her alone until she played with her. TJ's solution, put a big paw on her and maybe she will stop....nope, Olive grabbed her paw and acted like she was biting it hard and she was giving out little growls...TJ then put her head on Olive, that was even more fun cause Olive could grab her jowls and ears and tug on them. After a few minutes more TJ became actively involved in the play, snorting and rolling on the floor with Olive. I thought I was going to bust a gut. Here I have this old dog and this young dog, both who should not be alive today, rolling and tumbling on the floor, one being careful not to hurt the other and the little one diving in with gusto! I wish I had a video camera, Olive is about the size of TJ's head.lol Needless to say, playtime went on for about 20minutes, and then both passed out, Olive between TJ's big paws, both with a smile on their face. It was a sweet moment between the odd couple.LOL My entire house is full of odd couples. haha

Not sure if anyone else will find this funny, but I'm sure you will Donna.  Kaja likes to "bounce".  She can jump pretty darn high too!  I'm 5'6 and she can get up to midchest on me.  So anyways, whenever we are getting to go outside, the bouncies start.  Well the other day, she was up to her usual antics and of course not paying attention to where she was landing.  Well she plopped herself right down into her water bowl flipping it over, sending water everwhere.  Does she stop?  Nope!  She keeps right on bouncing but the poor thing had such wet feel she kept losing her footing on our hardwood floor.   Picked her up and was showered with loving and wet footsies.  She's such a nut...love her!

Ernie aka Damen is in Maine. Now being from the south, he has not had much experience with snow. He saw it on the ground here a few weeks ago and thought it was neat stuff to run around in. This morning he saw it coming from the sky. Not just a few flakes that could be mistaken for rain...big, fluffy flakes.

I went outside with him because I wanted to see his reaction. Donna said he was a "chicken". She wasn't wrong.  He came bounding outside, realized stuff was falling on him and scooted back inside, slipping and sliding all the way. One would have thought of The Wizard of Oz and a house was going to land on him. After a little coaxing, he came back outside, ran to do his business and took off back inside like the hounds of hell were after him. He then decided he had been traumitized and needed to be held. Realize at this point he is a good size dog and holding him is no easy matter. I held him for a bit and then decided enough was enough and it was going to be a very long winter if this kept up. We went back outside and he figured out the snow would not hurt him and it was kind of fun. He then ran right at me jumped up on me to play and the deck being slippery, my feet went out from underneath me...need I say more.  I didn't know whether to be mad or laugh. He thought it was part of the game and proceeded to jump on me. I let a "little" yelp out and he stopped, I can't imagine what my neighbors thought, after all, this is all happening at 5:00 AM. That's right, I am screaming in my back yard at 5 in the morning.  Oh well, he likes snow now!

Smokey Joe is always doing something to crack us up!  He is so clumsy!  But VERY smart.  He has learned a new trick this week.  He has learned to "walk" and does it very well.  He always impresses me!  He is just perfect!

I have a new one on Olive...I've been teaching her all kinds of tricks and commands, fun things mostly since she is such a little goof. One command I always teach is leave it..No matter where one of my dogs is, if I see them with something in their mouth and say leave it, they drop it immediately. Well, Olive found a pill bottle, no clue where, but she had it. It was empty..WHEW!! and I told her to leave it, then I said "Do you know what would happen if you took these?" The look on her face was priceless and then she decided to put a trick with the statement. I could see her wheels turning as I held that bottle looking at her and as if she read my mind, she fell over and played dead!!!! I did all I could not to fall out myself, my husband did crack up, but I told her, that's right..it will kill the puppy!! So now, when she sees anyone with a pill bottle, she falls over dead. I swear, she is one of the smartest little dogs..Hard to believe a year ago she was barely alive and a puppy no one wanted, now she is an uber smart girl and no money in the world could replace her. I'm glad no one wanted her....she has made my life brighter every day with her shenanigans.:D

Playing dead is such a fun trick!  Since Lottie Dot and Dora are deaf I  make my hand into a gun and shoot them.....they fall down and play dead.   I love teaching mine to do tricks. Its keeps their mind sharp and with all that Dal energy the possibilities are endless!!

Peek-a Boo is a cute one.....to signal them I cover my eyes....then they cover theirs.....so cute, especially when they do it together!

People don't realize the potential deaf dogs have.

They can do anything a hearing dog does but hear.
